We'd love for you to stop by one of our Sunday morning worship services!  Here are a few frequently asked questions so you can know what to expect during your visit.

when and where are your services?

Our services begin at 9:30am and 10:50am.  They are both identical in nature, so feel free to visit whatever service is convenient for you.  We are located at 11 E. Center St., just a few blocks east of the downtown square.  Here's a map if you need one.

how should I dress?

We have no expectations for attire, so it's really up to you.  You'll find some of us dressed up, but most of us comfortable and casual.

what do i do when i get there?

When you arrive on our campus, feel free to park in any of the designated visitor parking spaces in the big parking lot east of the worship center.  Then just head to the canopy marked "worship center," where you'll be greeted by one of our volunteers with a name tag.  They'll hand you a worship guide, answer any questions you have, and help guide you to the children's area if you need childcare during the service.

what childcare is provided?

We have a safe, fun children's area with incredible volunteers to serve your children during either service.  One of our greeters will guide you to the right place.  To learn more about what we have for your children, check out this page.

what is the service like?

Our worship services typically last a little over one hour, and consist of congregational singing led by our band and worship choir followed by a sermon by our Senior Pastor, Dr. David Williamson.  With several generations represented in our congregation, our music is diverse; we sing songs you might hear on the radio today, as well as great older songs that have stood the test of time.  You'll hear a sermon from the Bible that is challenging and applicable to your life.  If you don't have a Bible, that's ok!  We'll have the text on the screens, and you are welcome to keep one of the Bibles under the chair in front of you as our gift to you.

do i need to donate money if i visit?

As our guest, you will not be expected to give.  Instead, we'd love for you to fill out a Connection Card (found in the isle seat pockets) and drop it in the offering plate when it's passed by so we can know how to minister to you and your family.  If you do choose to give, thank you!  A percentage of everything we receive goes directly to helping people in Hernando and our ministry partners in the U.S. and around the world.  Check out this page to see some of our current ministry partners.

what next?

We're here to answer any questions you have about our church or about life and spiritual things.  Just send us an email, give us a call (662-429-6361), or stop by our offices during the week.  We really believe real growth happens in the context of smaller groups, so we'd love connect you with a group that fits your stage of life.  These "Life Groups" are a huge part of what it means to be connected with Hernando Baptist.  Learn more about them here.
